McPeek joined the EKU staff in February of 2021 as the assistant director of football operations. Garry McPeek was named acting head coach on August 29th, one day after head coach Walt Wells suffered a cardiac episode. EKU tied for second with Central Arkansas in the preseason ASUN Coaches poll The alliance will feature Austin Peay, Central Arkansas, Eastern Kentucky, Kennesaw State, and North Alabama from the ASUN, and Abilene Christian, Southern Utah, and Stephen F. Eastern Kentucky is competing in the ASUN-WAC challenge as a member of the ASUN conference.
UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN BASKETBALL ROSTER 1971 SERIES
The last meeting in the series was in 1971 when the two teams battled to a 0-0 in Ypsilanti. EKU is 1-0-1 all-time at Eastern Michigan. The Colonels won the first three meetings in the series. The two teams met for the first time in 1948 when EKU beat EMU 20-0. Eastern Kentucky leads the all-time series, 3-0-1.
